Our Stay st the French Cottage was just what we needed.... and more than we hoped for. The great staff at Irish Hollow created the perfect getaway for us. It was the best trip we ever took together. We ate so much really good food, burned a ton of firewood and connected with one another again. We had romantic breakfasts by our fireplace every morning (there 3 days), dined on gourmet food - beyond words at the Dinner in the Inn, and after skiing, experienced our first (of many....we are addicted) massages - which were AWESOME! Saw a couple other cottages, and they are all beautiful, but we will always stay in "our" cottage.
Remarkable experience all the way around. Certainly the best place to stay in Galena! Loved the cottage, the food, the people, the atmosphere and the time with my beautiful wife. We have been to a lot of places, and Irish Hollow won our hearts!
We were looking for a weekend getaway near Chicago, and saw this website.... it tempted us and we stayed at Irish Hollow in December. We had high expectations, but the reality blew us away! Everything about our stay was just right. We highly recommend this place to everyone. We wish that we had planned for three or four nights, rather than two, but we can do that next time! Don't miss the best massage of your life, while there!
